Red Sky Foundation brings together the hearts and minds of individuals, corporate partners, sponsors and volunteers to raise vital funds for babies & children with heart problems across North East England.
This is achieved by supporting, relieving sickness and preserving the health of people from across the North East of England by assisting in the provision of grants, equipment and raising awareness for the Children’s Heart Unit at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle as well as our other regional health services within the NHS and other charitable organisations. Red Sky Foundation’s spectacular fundraising events and activities also enable the provision of life-saving defibrillators for local schools, communities, city centres and other public areas. We collaborate with other third party organisations to offer education and training to organisations and the general public on the use of defibrillators and CPR through to advanced support for babies, children and adults with heart problems.
The Red Sky Foundation actively supports The Children’s Heart Unit at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle is one of the world’s leading specialist centres for children and babies born with, or who develop, heart conditions. The unit is just one of two in the UK that has the facilities and skills to offer paediatric transplant and bridge to transplant operations. As a result, the unit treats critically ill babies and children from across the UK.
By supporting the children and families at the Children’s Heart Unit and the money you donate raises vital funds for large and small pieces of equipment, facilities, aftercare, specialist salaries and research.
Your donations also go towards funding our popular defibrillator programme enabling us to educate and protect the lives of people who may need the life saving units in the event of a cardiac arrest.
Together we are making a difference with your kind donations – Thank you!
